Venezuelan singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and nature activist. She was raised in La Gran Sabana, one of the most ancient natural places in the world, in a small community with no more than 300 people including the indigineous Pemón tribe.
Liana met her passion for music at a very early age, she started with the piano given to her at the age of 11. Formed at the Ars Nova music school and the Contemporary Vocal School in Caracas, Liana is versatile but posses a predominantly urban style, her compositions go from hip hop and soul to folk and reggae.
She has steadily made her place in the music scene showing her innate talent that let her working and sharing the stage with renowned musicians such as Canserbero, Macklopedia, Gerry Weil, Anakena, El Otro Polo, Akapellah, Los Amigos Invisibles, Desorden Publico among others.
Concerned about home environmental issues she started “Gotas”, a project she created to raise awareness about the catastrophic impact of illegal mining in the rivers and vast nature of La Gran Sabana, place for the most ancient rock formations in the planet and large reserves of clear water. Through her music and a series of videos inspired in Venezuela she is determined to promote environmental education with the goal to protect nature and facilitate alternative economic activities to people inviting them to be part of the solution.
In April 2021 Liana showcased at the Skoll World Forum releasing two of her new songs Mundo al revés and Way back home performed together with the orchestra ensemble Creando Pilares. The Skoll organization supports social entrepreneurs and projects around the world with the purpose to improve life for all in the planet.
